Corcovado National Park
The Corcovado National Park is the most visited place of the area. It is home to over 140 species of mammals, 120 species of reptiles, 6000 species of insects and over 400 kinds of birds. Besides, in this spectacular park, there are 500 species of trees and 150 species of orchids. That is why the National Geographic Magazine called it the most biologically intense place on Earth.
From Drake Bay, there are two options to visit Corcovado, in a one-day tour:
Sirena Ranger Station
Since Sirena is located in the center of the park (a bit more than an hour away from Agujitas), there are more chances to spot animals such as tapirs, monkeys, crocodiles, birds and a lot more. During this tour, you will be exploring the trails hiking in the jungle and walking along the coastline for 5 hours approximately. It leaves at 6am and returns at 2:30pm.
