The estimated travel time is approximately one hour from Sierpe to the main beach of Drake Bay. An additional travel time of about 15 minutes is required to reach Playa San Josecito or Rincón. Poor Man Paradise

The journey takes place along the Sierpe River, crossing part of the Sierpe-Terraba wetlands where you can observe mangroves, crocodiles, and birds. Upon reaching the river mouth, the trip continues into the Pacific Ocean, passing through Drake Bay until reaching the final destination.

It’s important to note that there is no dock for disembarking in Drake Bay; therefore, it’s recommended to be prepared to disembark on the beaches and arrive 20 minutes before the departure time.

Overnight tour to Sirena ranger station

Departure of the tour at 6:00 am from the main beach. This tour includes a professional bilingual guide, entrance to the Sirena station, boat transportation, a group of 6 people per guide, accommodation in Sirena, all meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch). Important things to bring: mosquito repellent, sunscreen, shoes, sandals, comfortable clothing, towel, backpack, personal items for your stay in Sirena, reusable water bottle (no single-use). Logistics of the tour: You will arrive by boat, approximately one hour depending on sea conditions. Once in Sirena, the respective check-in will be done with the park rangers and dormitories will be assigned to participants. After this process, the exploration of the area begins with the guide, who will take you through the different authorized trails. Around noon, there will be a break for lunch at the Sirena station, and then the tours will continue through the trails until sunset. At the end of the day, you will return to the station for dinner and rest. NIGHT WALKS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN SIRENA. The next day, the tours can start from 4:30 am if preferred by the customers, followed by breakfast and continuing the tours through the different trails until approximately 1:00 pm, when you will return to Bahía Drake, where lunch will be provided upon arrive
